Tatenen Alpha User Agreement
Tatenen One Development
Effective Date: October 7, 2026
This Alpha User Agreement (“Agreement”) governs access to and use of the pre-release Tatenen platform, applications, websites, services, and related features (“Tatenen” or the “Service”) provided by Tatenen One Development (“Tatenen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By selecting Accept, accessing the Service, or using an account authorized by a participating organization, you agree to this Agreement.
1. Alpha Status
Tatenen is currently an alpha-stage, pre-release service. Features may be incomplete, unavailable, changed, suspended, or removed as development continues.
The Service may contain defects, errors, interruptions, compatibility issues, or other problems associated with pre-release software.
Alpha participants should not rely on Tatenen as the sole system of record for information that cannot reasonably be reconstructed or recovered.
Tatenen may perform maintenance, updates, migrations, testing, security changes, or other modifications necessary to develop and operate the Service.
2. Company Participation
Participation in the Tatenen alpha program is by invitation or approval from Tatenen One Development.
A participating organization's designated Account Steward or other authorized representative must accept the current Agreement on behalf of the organization before its users may access the organization's workspace.
The person accepting on behalf of an organization represents that they have authority to do so.
Each individual user must also separately accept the current version of this Agreement.
3. Alpha Pricing
Access to the Tatenen alpha platform is currently provided without charge.
Tatenen may later offer optional services or features for a fee. Any paid service will be separately identified and will not be charged without the participating organization's agreement.
Cloud file storage is not currently included as an active alpha feature.
If optional hosted storage is introduced during the alpha period, its availability, pricing, limits, responsibilities, and applicable terms will be disclosed separately before a participating organization elects to use or pay for that service.
4. Accounts and Security
Users must provide accurate account information and maintain the confidentiality of their credentials.
Users may not share accounts or knowingly permit unauthorized persons to use their credentials.
Users and participating organizations should promptly notify Tatenen of suspected unauthorized access, compromised credentials, or other security concerns.
Tatenen may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect participating organizations, users, data, infrastructure, or the Service.
5. Authorized Use
Users may use Tatenen only for lawful business purposes authorized by their participating organization.
Users may not:
- attempt to access another organization's information without authorization;
- bypass permissions, access controls, company boundaries, security protections, or usage restrictions;
- intentionally disrupt or interfere with the Service;
- introduce malicious software or harmful content;
- use the Service in violation of applicable law or the rights of another person or organization;
- provide account access or credentials to unauthorized third parties.
Authorized testing performed with the express approval of Tatenen One Development is not prohibited by this section.
6. Company Data and Ownership
As between Tatenen and the participating organization, the participating organization retains ownership of the business information, operational records, project information, proprietary processes, documents, and other company information it provides to Tatenen (“Company Data”).
Tatenen does not acquire ownership of Company Data merely because that information is entered into, transmitted through, or processed by the Service.
Tatenen may process Company Data as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, support, troubleshoot, improve, and develop the Service; comply with applicable law; and perform activities authorized by the participating organization.
Tatenen will not intentionally make one participating organization's proprietary Company Data available to another participating organization without authorization.
7. Confidential and Proprietary Information
Alpha participants may receive access to nonpublic Tatenen designs, features, workflows, technology, documentation, development information, or other confidential material.
Users and participating organizations agree not to disclose or distribute nonpublic Tatenen information to unauthorized third parties.
This restriction does not apply to information that:
- was already lawfully known;
- becomes publicly available through no violation of this Agreement;
- is independently developed without use of confidential information; or
- must be disclosed by law.
8. Feedback and Testing
Alpha participation may include reporting bugs, identifying usability problems, testing workflows, suggesting improvements, or providing other feedback.
Tatenen may use feedback to develop, improve, modify, or commercialize the Service without payment or obligation to the person providing the feedback.
Providing feedback does not transfer ownership of a participating organization's Company Data, confidential information, or proprietary processes.
9. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Features
Tatenen may include artificial intelligence, automation, recommendations, summaries, analysis, or other computer-assisted features.
These features may produce incomplete, incorrect, or inappropriate results.
AI and automated features are intended to assist users and do not replace professional judgment, management responsibility, safety procedures, contractual review, or other appropriate human decision-making.
Users remain responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them for business, financial, estimating, scheduling, employment, contractual, safety, or operational decisions.
AI features may not override Tatenen permissions, company isolation, or authorized access boundaries.
10. Data Security and Service Providers
Tatenen uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect information handled through the Service.
Tatenen may use third-party infrastructure and service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, networking, email delivery, security, and related technology services.
Information regarding Tatenen's handling of personal information and applicable service providers is described in the Tatenen Privacy Policy.
No electronic service can guarantee complete security or uninterrupted availability.
11. Alpha Data, Backups, and Availability
Because Tatenen is pre-release software, participants acknowledge an increased possibility of interruption, service changes, defects, or data loss.
Participating organizations should maintain reasonable independent copies of business-critical information during the alpha period.
Tatenen intends to maintain reasonable recovery procedures but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent retention, or recovery from every possible failure.
Tatenen is not currently providing general cloud document or file storage as part of the active alpha feature set.
12. Changes to the Service
Tatenen may add, change, limit, suspend, or remove features as development continues.
Features being evaluated during alpha should not be assumed to remain available in future versions.
13. Changes to this Agreement
Tatenen may update this Agreement as the Service develops.
When a new agreement version requires acceptance, participating organizations and individual users may be required to accept the new version before regaining access to the Service.
Tatenen's system may block workspace access until required company and individual acceptance is completed.
14. Suspension and Termination
Tatenen may suspend or terminate access for reasons including:
- violation of this Agreement;
- security or privacy concerns;
- unauthorized use;
- activity that threatens the Service or other participants;
- discontinuation or restructuring of the alpha program; or
- other reasonable operational or legal reasons.
A participating organization may discontinue participation by contacting Tatenen.
Data remaining after termination will be handled subject to applicable law, technical limitations, backup practices, and the Tatenen Privacy Policy.
15. No Warranty
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE ALPHA SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
TATENEN ONE DEVELOPMENT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR EVERY BUSINESS PURPOSE.
TATENEN DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT EVERY DEFECT WILL BE IDENTIFIED OR CORRECTED DURING THE ALPHA PERIOD.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes any right or warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TATENEN ONE DEVELOPMENT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE ALPHA SERVICE.
Because standard alpha access is currently provided without charge, Tatenen One Development's aggregate liability arising from the alpha Service will not exceed $100, except where such a limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Payment for an optional separately offered service, including any future hosted-storage service, does not automatically increase liability for unrelated alpha functionality unless separate terms expressly state otherwise.
17. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising from this Agreement will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction in New Hampshire unless applicable law requires otherwise.
18. Entire Agreement
This Agreement, together with the Tatenen Privacy Policy and any separately executed written agreement between Tatenen One Development and a participating organization, governs participation in the Tatenen alpha program.
If a separately signed written agreement conflicts with this Agreement, the separately signed agreement controls to the extent of that conflict.
